Science Park Towers

Few have missed that Jönköping has a new meeting place in the centre of Jönköping - Science Park Towers. The tower, or the block as it actually is, consists of a lower brick base and four towers of varying heights. The tallest boasts a total of fifteen floors. MP bolagen takes pride in the delivery of the building's cable management materials.

Science Park Towers is one of Jönköping's latest landmarks. The property was completed in May 2023, just over two years after the first groundbreaking took place. The client for the project was the municipal JKPG Fast. NCC was the contractor. The choice of electrical contractor fell to Emil Lundgren. Daniel Jansson is the project manager at the company:

– We had the opportunity to present ourselves and our solution to realise the client's idea. We were attracted by the fact that it was a large and exciting project aimed at creating a sustainable meeting place.

Emil Lundgren creates sustainable solutions

Emil Lundgren is an electrical engineering partner focused on contributing to the energy transition by creating sustainable solutions for industry, community building and energy efficiency. The company is located, in addition to Jönköping, in several places in Sweden – from Malmö in the south to Uppsala in the north.

Daniel and his colleagues were entrusted with designing, and then completing, the electrical installation of Science Park Towers. Here, MP bolagen were early on a natural supplier to listen to.

– We go back a long way with MP bolagen and have carried out many projects together. We know their products, which certainly makes things easier. An important part of the project was also to buy a lot locally. The choice of MP bolagen was therefore completely natural, says Daniel.

Science Park Towers is unique in many ways. Not least because it was built in a short time, right in the midst of an ongoing pandemic – with all that it entails in terms of delivery reliability and price increases. Here, MP bolagen stood out, Daniel believes.

– MP bolagen has a large inventory and could, at our request, deliver a large part of the project's products early on. We had it delivered to our own storage location. From there, we could continuously supply the construction site.

When asked what Daniel is most satisfied with regarding MP bolagen, the answer comes quickly and confidently.

– They have very good inventory management. Otherwise, they quickly provide the products we need. It is also a great plus to always have a good person to talk to. In this project, it was Gustav Petersson, a salesman at MP bolagen.

MP bolagen – a total partner for channeling materials

MP bolagen supplied the project with all the cabling materials such as cable and wire ladders and fastening products, but also other products such as service poles. Both standard and custom-specific. Like the black-painted wire ladders in the event hall that are visible, yet not visible.

– MP group is good at meeting our needs. In addition to the black wire ladders, they also delivered, upon request, specially ordered service poles with smaller tubing and longer profiles, says Daniel and continues:
