Construction City
Construction City in Oslo gathers players from the construction, civil engineering, and property sectors in a shared business cluster. The 105,000 sqm building comprises 11 floors and accommodates 4,500 workplaces. The building was inaugurated in 2025 and is located in Ulven, Oslo.
When an entire industry meets under the same roof
The idea behind Construction City was born from OBOS's vision of gathering the actors of the construction industry under one roof. Together with AF-gruppen, the vision took shape and became a reality.
The ambition is to bring together the various actors in the industry in one place and create conditions for open dialogue, collaboration, and exchange of experiences.
The building houses offices, shared meeting spaces, and an educational facility for the future construction and electrical engineers.

Well-planned logistics kept to the schedule.
Already during the planning phase, detailed order lists were created for the different zones in the building. This created a clear structure for the entire implementation and ensured that the materials were in place a couple of days before the installations were to begin in each zone.
The meticulous planning contributed to a smooth workflow, reduced the risk of delays and made it possible to drive the project efficiently all the way to completion.
A collaboration built on trust
For Lysteknikk, the close collaboration with Elis Elektro, MP bolagens partner in the Norwegian market, is an important part of the project.
The personal contact and good availability make it easy to get help and quick answers when needed. In larger projects, Elis Elektro is happy to take the time to meet on-site and go through conditions and solutions together with the project team. This creates a good collaboration and contributes to projects being driven forward in an efficient manner.
At the same time, MP bolagens products are appreciated for their installation-friendly design, which contributes to smooth and efficient work on-site.
Together, this has created a long-term collaboration characterised by trust, availability, and good experiences from project to project.
Installations that deserve to be seen
Together with Elis Elektro, we have delivered 28,000 metres of cable ladders, 1,800 metres of wire ladders, and 1,500 metres of cable ducts to the project.
Among the deliveries were also black lacquered cable ladders and cable ducts that were used in selected parts of the building where the installations are visible.
The installation has been carried out by Lysteknikk, which set high demands on both MP bolagen and Elis Elektro. With a project where many of Norway's leading players in the construction industry will have their workplace, there was a clear ambition to deliver a result that maintained a high standard in all details. Especially in the parts of the building where the installations are visible, great emphasis was placed on the overall impression.
For Lysteknikk, it was about creating solutions that not only work well but also contribute to a stylish and well-thought-out environment.
– The goal was to create installations with exhibition quality, which was also achieved, says Robin.
