Ulricehamn Tunnel

The Ulricehamn Tunnel marks an important step in the development of robust and long-term solutions for Swedish infrastructure. As early as 2015, we delivered our first tunnel project with acid-resistant cable ladders.

A key in the Swedish infrastructure

The project is located just north of Ulricehamn and is part of National Road 40 – one of the country's most important connections between Gothenburg and Jönköping. The tunnel consists of two separate tunnel tubes of approximately 400 meters each and is a central part of the upgrade to motorway standard, with a clear focus on increased traffic safety and accessibility.

In tunnel environments, high demands are placed on material choice, lifespan, and operational reliability. By choosing acid-resistant cable ladders, a solution was ensured that withstands moisture, exhaust gases, and other challenging conditions over time, while minimising the need for future maintenance. For the contractor and client, this meant an installation that combines high safety with low life cycle cost.

The delivery to the Ulricehamn tunnel is a clear example of how our products contribute to safe, sustainable, and future-proofed infrastructure facilities. A reference project that shows how the right material choice from the start creates long-term value.
