Olivine
Stockholm's new office landmark Olivin has a strong focus on environmentally friendly construction. To achieve the high standards set in the project, which will also become the new headquarters for Skanska, intensive collaboration has been required. The installer Ohmegi has played a central role in implementing the technical solutions, while MP bolagen has supplied the customised and climate-smart materials needed to meet the project's unique sustainability requirements.
An office project where every detail counts
On Västra Kungsholmen in Stockholm, 25 metres from Essingeleden, Olivin is emerging – a modern office building where sustainability and reuse are obvious parts of the process. With its 23,000 square metres of office space and eleven floors, Olivin will be a signature building in Kungsholmen, planned to be completed by the end of 2026 with the first move-in during December 2026. Here, among others, Skanska will move in with its new headquarters, but the property has space for more tenants and is designed to meet the future demands for working environment and environmental performance.

It requires so few details to put it together. It's like angles and MP screws and then you can put most things together.

Sustainability and reuse in focus
Olivin is a flagship project with the goal of being certified according to LEED Platinum and NollCO2 – two of the industry's most ambitious environmental certifications. This means that the entire building's climate impact is calculated and that all emissions must be balanced to net zero. To reach these goals, reuse and choice of materials play a crucial role. The project has prioritised locally produced and Swedish-made materials.

Collaboration, innovation and Ohmegis experiences
The project has been characterised by close dialogue between Skanska, suppliers, and installers. Already in the bidding phase, the question was posed to the contractors: "What can you contribute to reduce the building's carbon footprint?" Suppliers were engaged to develop reports and proposals for products with low climate impact. In our first bid, there were cable ladders MP-S and later MP-LS, but as the project clearly wanted the best for the environment, it landed on the cable ladder MP-SR made from recycled steel.
MP group's efforts:
Cable ladders in recycled steel with low climate impact, discreet service poles in recycled aluminium, and customised installations to meet tenant needs.
In addition to the cable ladders, also fixture rails and everything that installers have needed for assembly and mounting.
Direct deliveries that have been packaged plan-wise.
Ohmegi
Ohmegi has played a key role in the project and particularly highlights the ease of installation and quality of MP group's products, which has simplified work on site. Reuse of products from other projects, initiated by Skanska, has reduced climate impact and positively affected the bid. With its central location, logistical challenges and rapid construction times have required good communication and flexibility; cooperation and open dialogue have been the keys to success.

A workplace for the future
Olivin is more than just an office building – it is a place where balance and well-being permeate every detail. Here you will find a restaurant, gym, bicycle hotel, terraces, and conference rooms, all designed to create a work environment in harmony with the city's pulse and green areas. The building is designed to facilitate movement and create conditions for a sustainable working life.
